Phonics

Today we will be recapping our Phase 3 sounds. Watch Miss Levy’s Phonics video on Teams. You can find it in the ‘Remote Learning’ channel under Files. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil whilst you are watching so you can join in. 

Literacy
Oh no, this morning Naughty Bus was found up to mischief in Class 1! Can you spot Naughty Bus? It looks like he fell asleep on the book shelf! 

I think we need to make Naughty Bus feel more comfortable in our classroom. Some of the children have decided that we should make him a special home. Can you do the same at home for your favourite toy? You could use materials such as egg boxes, yoghurt pots etc. 

Maths

Act of Worship

Has anyone ever said to you that they are too busy to listen to you? Have you ever said it to anyone else? How do you think that made them feel – how did you feel?

What would you have done? Would you have been Martha or Mary? 

Do you feel sad for Martha? She was only trying to be a good hostess and she often gets bad press for her actions. We are all different people like Martha and Mary and we all welcome others in our own way.

What sort of welcome do you give others at school? Visitors? New children?

We have been focusing on our numbers 6-10. Can you make those numbers outside using natural materials (sticks, stones etc.)? Can you find that amount of objects to match the numeral?
