Australia Topic Homework
As part of our learning about Australia, Mrs McLean gave us a homework project to find out about an animal that is native to Australia. We have chosen to present our findings in all sorts of ways!
We have been learning about the physical geography of Australia and the surrounding island countries. We conducted research into the mountains, volcanoes, deserts, rainforests and reefs of this area. We then shared our research through a learning carousel. Each group presented their findings to the rest of the class. We are now going to use this research to write non-chronological reports about the physical geography of Oceania.
The Chevening Explorer Museum
The Chevening Explorer Museum was a huge success! Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, siblings and other classes who came to enjoy our learning.
We are working hard to prepare the first Chevening Explorers Museum which will open to the public (for one morning only) next Tuesday. The class have been working in groups to prepare content for each part of our gallery, showcasing our learning across term 1 and 2.
As part of our Explorer topic we have been learning about mountains. Mrs McLean set us a project homework to find out about a famous mountain from anywhere in the world. We have made some amazing projects, from paper mache mountains, to pottery mountains, even cake ones! Thank you to our parents who have supported us in our grand designs!
