We had an absolutely incredible World Book Day, this week! It wasn't Chevening children who arrived in school on Thursday, but instead a rather enthusiastic cluster of book characters in fabulous costumes. We took the opportunity to explore literary maps and then went on to creating our very own. How well could you map out the settings of your favourite stories?
Class 3, have had the opportunity to embark on quite the exciting adventure this week. They donned their best explorer outfits, secured their hats, grabbed their binoculars and set off back to the Stone Age... found within the depths of the Kent Life Museum. Not only did we get to try our hands at grinding our own flour, using a quern (and gosh it took quite the effort!) but we also got to extend our already existential bank of knowledge by learning about the religion, rituals, trading and weapons, and even had the chance to meet a member of the tribe!
