As the country prepared to go to the polls to vote this week, so did Class 6. On Monday we formed our own political parties, deciding on our leaders and main policies. On Tuesday we wrote these up as party manifestos. On Wednesday we prepared for a leader's debate, writing opening speeches and questions that the voters might want to ask. On Thursday we held our leadership debate before voting based on what we had heard. It was a close run campaign but congratulations to The International Party who won!
Class 6 hosted a coffee morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. We baked some cakes and biscuits at school and also brought in some amazing treats that we had made at home. Wethen prepared the hall so that we were ready to welcome their guests. During the event we welcome and chatted to our guests, served them plenty of tea and coffee and entertained them with music, dance, poetry and comedy acts. We finished with a presentation about Macmillan and why we were supporting them.
Thank you to all our family and friends who attended the morning and donated to this worthy cause; we raised a staggering £368.85!
