This term we are learning about electricity. We have started by exploring the electrical equipment and reminding ourselves of what we already know. We are going to be working towards applying our understanding to our DT project later this term.
This week we have been carrying out our own experiments to find out what might affect the brightness of a bulb. Some of us chose to explore how the number of components change the brightness whilst others looked at the effect of adding further batteries. We wrote up our experiments, making predictions and considering the importance of a fair test.
In Science we have been learning about the circulatory system and how exploring extreme climates affects how well our bodies work. We started by drawing around members of the class and identifying all the different body parts and systems we already knew.
After learning about the key components of the circulatory system, we thought about how polar or mountain exploration might impact our bodies. We wrote leaflets explaining the effects and what explorers might do to combat these problems both when preparing for, and when going on, an expedition.
