Yesterday we had a Science Day. We planned and carried out an experiment to find out the effect of exercise on our circulatory system.
Continuing on with our learning about the Circulatory System, we have now thought about how visiting an extremely cold environment (like a mountain or polar region) might impact our bodies. We wrote information leaflets for anyone thinking about exploring an extremely cold environment so they know what to expect and how to prepare!
Our topic for this term is the Circulatory system. We started today by revising what we already knew about the body. We drew around one of us per group and then filled the outline with what we know, thinking both about the body parts and where they are located. We then focused on the Circulatory system, learning about arteries and veins and drawing our own circulatory system diagrams.
This term we have been learning about light. He explored reflection to find out how light travels into our eye. Using a mirror, we had to shine a torch to hit a target behind us. Light travels from a light source, reflects off an object and then into our eye.
