This term we have gone back to focusing and exploring the big question:
What is the Trinity?
Further expanding on what we discovered and learnt that year.
We have begun by looking at the Gospels written by Matthew, Luke and John and reflecting on how they each uniquely differ in their retelling of the story of the birth of Christ; John's being more noticeably different than the others. Then we moved on to creating our own Christmas cards, which represented this particular Gospel, where we had to think about the imagery of the Word and light shining through the darkness.
This term our focus has been on the Creation Story in the Bible, as we have been attempting to answer the big question of:
What do Christians Learn from the Creation Story?
Not only did we read the story from the Bible, but we also explored via the different means of visualisation and poetry. Please click on the link below to view James Weldon Johnson's classical The Creation poem read by Wintley Phipps. We also learnt about how Christians believe that humans are the gardeners and stewards of this creation, and discussed what we can do in order to help take care of it.
