Curriculum

Staff regularly conduct careful review of the curriculum and the approaches we use when planning and teaching in school. Along with senior Leaders and Governors, careful consideration is given to some of characteristics that many of our children share, our aspirations for our children and how we can form careful sequences of learning to enable our children to learn, make progress and achieve well.

Documents and details about Special Educational Needs, Disabilities and our Accessibility Plan can be found here.

Please see the documents below to find out more about our curriculum aspirations, approaches and the subjects we offer. More details will be added in due course.

Curriculum, teaching and learning

The documents below show the intent for each subject taught at Chevening, as well as the progression in knowledge and skills in each year group.

Details about termly topics can be found in the individual Class webpages for each year group.
Specific circumstances, such as COVID-19, may lead to a variation in part of our approach.

Should you wish to know more about our curriculum at Chevening, please explore the following link for the National Curriculum, upon which it is based. Alternatively contact the school office should you have a request for more specific school information.
