Welcome to Class 2

This is where you will find out all about our learning and other important information regarding Year 2. 

Our Class Teacher is Miss Sweeney.

Our Teaching Assistants are Mrs BK (Kandasamy) and Mrs Lee.

Mrs Miller teaches our class on a Thursday afternoon.

PE

Our PE days will be Tuesday and Thursday. Please make sure all items in your PE kit are clearly named to avoid anything getting lost. 

We need to have a jumper and raincoat in case it is cold or wet. If it is really cold then we can wear tracksuit bottoms. Please make sure we have a spare pair of socks for wet PE days!

We should come into school in our PE kits and wearing school shoes.  We will then change into our trainers.  That way we can keep our classroom clean and mud-free!

In Term 2, we will need to have a pair of wellies or old trainers in school on Tuesdays so we can go to Forest School.

Book Change Days

In Class 2 there are no specific book change days.  As the books we read all vary greatly in length, we understand that you will finish and want to change your books at different times.  Please make sure you bring your reading record and book in every day to school, and let us know when your book needs changing!

Homework

Our homework is given out on a Friday and will be due in on the following Wednesday. We are expected to spend an hour on our homework (in total) each week.  We will begin by reading and learning spellings.  Later in term, you will given a Maths book to work through and complete too.
