English

We would love to share our poetry with you. We have even turned it into a book!

Following on from National Poetry Day, and inspired by a great resource about Word Play by poet Michaela Morgan; Class 5 have used compound words to make a humorous class poem of 20 stanzas. Each stanza written by a different pupil. We have also written 28 of our own individual poems based on idioms. Who knew the English language was so odd - or should that be special?

We had a great deal of fun; and hope you will enjoy our book too. Why not have a go at writing your own?
You can download a digital copy using the link below or even order a paper copy for yourself (or friends and relatives) to enjoy at home by emailing Mr Qureshi. We have even shared our poems with the 'West Kent Mind Poetry Pathway' Team. (You can see a link to this on the sidebar.)

If this has now given you the 'poetry bug', you may wish to have a look at our previous book, where we show the way to use over 10 different poetic structures to make fascinating poems. You can download this one too. 'When Words Sing' can be downloaded below. You can even hear our 'Memories' poems below!
