We have been exploring nets of 3D shapes today. We used boxes to identify the nets of 3D shapes and the faces that make up a given shape. We then moved on to drawing our own nets for a hexagonal prism, finding as many different nets to make the same shape as possible. Our boxes are now being reused by KS1 for their junk modelling supplies!
In Maths today we were set the challenge of creating a cube with a volume of 1m3. After lots of teamwork and careful measuring, we then had to use our cube to estimate the volume of the classroom.
