Chiddingstone Castle
Class 5 were fortunate to be able to visit Chiddingstone Castle during the Chiddingstone Literary Festival.
There is an amazing, eclectic collection of historical artefacts in the castle for visitors to examine. The previous owners, and the building itself; have some very interesting, curious stories associated with them as well!
It is well worth a trip if you are able. You can visit their website by clicking on this external link... https://www.chiddingstonecastle.org.uk/
We followed 3 trails around the various rooms looking carefully (but not touching); and also made good use of a number of artefacts available in two rooms for us to use and experience 'hands on'.
We hope you like our pictures below:
If you have any questions, please ask someone in Class 5.
Below are some of the pictures of the artefacts and locations around the grounds:
The Ancient Greeks
We have really enjoyed studying the Ancient Greek Civilisation and have found out a lot about them from Homer's Odyssey, as well as research using artefacts, books and the internet. Here are some images showing some things we found out about maths, DT, science and art while researching the Ancient Greeks.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
