Welcome to our Governors' section.
Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor. We have also provided a Register of Governor Interests and an Annual Statement of Issues for your information.
Should you wish to contact the Governing Body, please do so via the school office.
At Chevening (St Botolph’s) CE Primary School, we have six Foundation Governors, one LA appointed Governor, two Staff Governors (including the Headteacher), two Parent Elected Governors and one ex-officio. Governors are elected or appointed for four-year terms.
The purpose of the governing body is to set the strategic direction of the school and hold it to account. As part of this duty, we review and agree school policies, plans and targets as well as monitor results. The day-to-day management of the school is the responsibility of the Headteacher and not the governing body, however Governors provide support for the Headteacher and the school whenever possible.
