Mastering numbers to 10
We started the term exploring numbers to 10. The children counted using one-to-one correspondence and ten frames to represent numbers. We practised writing numbers using both numerals and words. We have ordered from smallest the greatest then vice versa and compared numbers using the terms 'greater than', 'less than' and 'as many as' or 'equal to.' We finished by looking at one less and one more than any given number.
