The Water Cycle

With all the splashing that went on in our Literacy lessons this week, we learnt a little about where water comes from and explored the water cycle. We began our discussions in the classroom, where we watched a video showing the water cycle in action and learnt some new scientific vocabulary, including evaporation, condensation, and precipitation.
At Forest School, we focused on evaporation. We used water to create decorations on paper and then watched in amazement as the water slowly disappeared. As if by magic, it was gone. It had evaporated!
One of the highlights of the week was returning to the classroom to sing and dance along to the Water Cycle Song, which helped us remember the different stages of the water cycle.
