T2 Poppy Day

This week, we were delighted to welcome our older buddies who have been helping to sell poppies in school. In preparation for next week’s Remembrance Day, we explored why people wear poppies and what they represent. We talked about all the people who help us in our lives and why it’s important to remember them. We then looked a little deeper into the role of those who have served in wars. The children created beautiful artwork inspired by poppy fields, and at Forest School, they wrapped wool around sticks to craft their own poppies.
