In Our Hands

This term we are beginning by reading our whole school text 'In Our Hands' by Lucy Farfort.  This beautifully illustrated picture book, by the award-winning illustrator and author, tells the story of a world being drained of colour and a group of determined children who grow a seed of hope, bringing with it transformations.  This heartwarming fable of tolerance and togetherness, which entrances and empowers in equal measure, will encourage us to bring about positive changes in our own local community.  We will not only get the opportunity explore and carefully study our surrounding environment but also conclude by writing our very own messages of hope and support.

We've had some amazing opportunities to explore our surround our local environment already, capturing both the most colourful parts and observing any 'dulling' which may be taking place too.

Can you see this in any of the pictures we took?
