Week 4

'Wonder' is the most powerful (and popular) Power of Reading book we have studied so far this year. Last week we reached the big section about what it was like to be Auggie's older sister; the children wrote empathetic diary entries on her experiences - amazing!

We love our Power of Reading Texts!

 

This term we are looking/studying The Rabbits by John Marsden (and amazImage result for the rabbits shaun taningly illustrated by Shaun Tan). Described as 'a rich and haunting allegory for all ages, all cultures, it speaks to us on many different levels...The rabbits came many grandparents ago. they built roads, had children. they cut down trees. a whole continent of rabbits.
