Winter Detectives ... We put on our coats, hats and gloves and went outside in search of signs of winter. We took photographs of our findings. We noticed that the big tree on the field was bare. A flock of geese flew off to a hotter climate and the sun appeared very low in the sky.
We then used the photographs we had taken of the tress on the field and playground to create silhouettes.
In Computing we enjoyed giving each other clear instructions to move across the playground. We used these words: forwards, backwards, right and left. We then moved to the classroom where we had to move Traction man to different locations on the treasure map. We had to think of algorithms for our partner to work out.
In PE, we watched the toy machine scene from the film Babes in Toyland. We then moved around like different toys. After that we created our own toy making machines in groups.
