Class 3

Welcome to Class 3!

Our teacher is Mrs Roll and our teaching assistants are Mrs Cope, Mrs Pontin, Mrs Day and Mrs Rudge.

Don't forget...

For term 1 (and possibly longer), you will need a pair of wellies that you can leave at school, for playtimes and lunchtimes on the field.

Everyday, please make sure you remember your water bottle, your waterproof coat, your packed lunch and your book bag.

Your book bag will contain your reading book and your contact book (which should be signed by an adult every day) and your homework.

Lunches will be in the classroom for the time being and you will need to take all of your rubbish home with you.

You will be bringing in your own pencil case (containing writing pencils, sharpener, rubber, ruler, scissors, glue, colouring pencils) which can be left in your tray.

Our timetable...

Four days a week after the morning register, we will have a SPaG lesson followed by the Daily Mile.

On a Thursday, we will have spellings and tables tests.

We will also be reading everyday after lunch and will share a class book at the end of the day.

PE will be on a Monday and a Thursday afternoon. We will be on the field in all weathers for PE so please make sure you have a complete, named, PE kit (including socks) and a pair of old trainers, as they may get very muddy.

Homework will be given out on a Friday and will need to be handed back in on the following Wednesday. It will consist of spellings and tables, Times Tables Rockstars, Maths problems and one of the activities on the Topic grid (this incorporates English/ Science/ History/ Geography/ Creativity).

I am so proud of the children’s descriptive writing! We made a timeline and used our senses to describe what it may have been like to live millions of years ago
