After weeks of rain followed by a spell of hot, sunny weather, we finally managed to light a fire! We began by recapping our fire safety rules and discussing the three things needed to make a fire: fuel, heat and oxygen. The children then went on a hunt for twigs to help get the fire started.
Once the fire was ready, we enjoyed toasting marshmallows kindly provided by Sonny and his family. There were so many that everyone was able to have two each! A huge thank you to Sonny and his family for their generosity, it made our campfire experience extra special.
