How to catch a Star
Once there was a class and the class loved stars very much... After reading How to Catch a Star by Oliver Jeffers, we spent the week reaching for the stars! We imagined creative ways to catch stars and designed our own constellations. At Forest School, we used sticks and leaves to make star shapes, and after catching a star of our very own, we took it on exciting adventures around the school and woods; shopping, walking, and even blasting back to space in our amazing Forest School rocket! We developed fine motor skills by cutting out stars, peeling and sticking star stickers, and writing sounds and tricky words in Mrs Archer’s magical moon dust. To finish, we had fun improving coordination during Dough Disco.
