This week, we’ve been enjoying the story Pumpkin Soup, a tale that explores friendship and how things can go wrong when friends fall out. We’ve loved getting to know the characters and setting, and have even created our own imaginative adventures, finding new hiding places for Duck and designing special soup-stirring machines! Our morning activities have been full of pumpkin fun: we hammered golf tees into pumpkins, decorated them with colourful Numicon pegs, traced lines, and used marbles to paint swirling patterns. Some of the new words we’ve been learning include: aroma, companion, squabble, slumber and delicious.
