Each week, pupils in class 3 compete for the most points. They work together as a team in their table groups and pupils have the chance to agree on their teams' name. In order to gain points, teams have to be the quickest to organise themselves around the classroom. This also involves listening to instructions carefully. The table with the most points at the end of week wins a small prize and at the end of each term there is a bigger prize. If that's not enough, all the weekly totals are added so that a 'Table of the Year' prize can be awarded in July.
We also use ClassDojo in class 3. Pupils are constantly working hard, putting their hands up, helping others and cooperating with their peers and as an incentive, Dojo points are awarded on an individual basis. Each child gets to login and design their monster at home and can regularly check in to track their scores. Mums and Dads can also keep track too! In Class 3, Dojo points act as our House points and so each week we add them up and send them to Year 6 for counting. In addition, each term we have a prize for the Dojo champion - the pupils who has gained the most points throughout the entire term!
